Who is responsible for this data

This site belongs to Base Group. The controller of the data you send through this site is Base X Tech Ltd, the group's legal entity.

Registered address: 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom.

Questions about your data: hello@basetechgroup.com.

What data we collect

Only what you type into one of the enquiry forms on the site: your name, your company, your email address and the text of your message. These forms are in the "Contact" section on the homepage and the "Request" section on the Systems audit page, with the same fields. Along with your enquiry, we record the page it was sent from and the tracking tags of the ad link, if you arrived through one.

We do not ask you to register, we do not create accounts here and we do not accept payments. There are no other forms on the site besides these two.

Why we process it

To read your enquiry and reply to it. We do nothing else with this data.

The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest in replying to the enquiries sent to us. You decide whether to write to us and what data to enter in the form.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to work on your enquiry and to reply to later emails in the same thread.

Your enquiry goes into our task-tracking system and stays there for as long as it is needed to work on it.

If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will delete it, except where the law requires us to keep a record for longer.

Who else sees this data

Three providers, each acting on our instructions and none for its own purposes: the hosting provider of this site, the task-tracking service your enquiry goes into, and the email provider we reply through.

We do not sell your data, we do not pass it to advertising networks and we do not use it for profiling.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses two kinds of cookies: those it needs to work, and those that collect statistics and measure advertising. The second kind does not run until you give your consent.

The necessary cookies are set by the hosting provider. They are needed for security and for delivering pages, and they are not used for advertising.

When you first open the site, a consent banner appears. Until you decide, none of the tools below collects any data. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie icon in the bottom corner of the page. If you decline, the site works fully and you lose no function.

We name the providers below, rather than describing them by role as in the section "Who else sees this data". They set cookies in your browser and receive data about how you use the site, so without their names your consent would not be informed.

Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) counts visits and shows which pages are read. It does not build profiles and is not used for ad targeting.

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) records how you move through a page: scrolling, clicks, typing into fields. The text you type is masked before the recording reaches us. We use it to find things that are not working properly.

Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) shows which ad campaign you came from and makes it possible to show you relevant ads later.

Legal basis for processing: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew.

These tools transfer data to companies outside Ukraine, including in the European Union and the United States. Each provider sets its own processing terms.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, stop processing it or give it to you in a machine-readable format.

Write to the address above and we will reply. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the data protection supervisory authority in your country.

External links

The site links to the separate sites of the group's business lines and to pages in the Shopify App Store. When you follow such a link, that site's policy applies to you, not this one.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the text and the date at the top of the page. We do not publish earlier versions, so the update date is the only way to see that something has changed.
